Tea is the officially the world’s favorite beverage! Though a lot of Good Americans tend to favor coffee, tea remains the preferred leisurely drink for most of world especially for those living in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe – especially in Britain. And who could not blame them? Who wouldn’t love that warm, soothing cup of refreshing goodness – that’s not only perfectly healthy, but also works great on especially cold and nippy mornings and evenings.
In order for us to get that perfect cup of tea, we have to make sure that it is properly brewed so that all of our tea’s desired goodness and flavors would come out and mix well into our cup – and one thing to do this is by using a tea infuser. Tea infusers come in all different shapes and sizes. There are those traditional tea balls and spoon-style infusers which are typically small, round and enclosed and also those playfully decorative tea leaf infusers that also works really well in extracting the flavors of our loose tea leaves. Some of these new, decorative tea infusers come in delightfully creative and whimsical designs such as a shark’s fin, a robot and also Chef 3R Kitchen’s strikingly chic leaf design.
Now, how do we a use a tea infuser? First, fill your cup with hot water. For best results, Use water that has boiled just once – because, any more than that the reduced levels of oxygen in the water can make your tea taste a bit ‘flat’. Then, put some of your loose tea leaves or herbs in the infuser’s mesh basket. Make sure your tea or herbs are completely submerged in hot water and that it is sitting properly on the cup. Let the infuser sit in the hot water for a few minutes until your tea has brewed to your desired strength. Once it’s ready, remove the tea infuser to prevent it from overbrewing.
So that’s it. You have your perfectly brewed cup o’ tea! And what would even make your tea all the more special? It’s by pairing it with some great biscuits, some cookies perhaps and of course, spending time savoring it with that special someone.
